Jenn is in the local media again.

I’ve created a monster.

“You won’t believe it got up to 60 degrees here today,” my dad told me last night when I called to make drop off and pick up plans for the kids’ spring break. “Yesterday, we couldn’t see over the mound of snow at the end of our drive. Now, it’s down to about three feet, and we can see to back out. But it’s probably in the 80s or something down there.”

The summer three years after the US celebrated its bicentennial and youngsters across the States spent hours scouring spare change for the special quarter, I turned 12 and spent most of my mornings fishing Lake Wingra for bluegill and sunnies with my friend Jim and sometimes our neighbor Mike.

After discovering the E!Power atrocity committed by my formerly preferred tent manufacturer, I’m switching permanently to Kelty.
