Is it possible to finish a very strenuous 15 mile trail run on a base of zero miles? Yes.

Tomorrow, I’m registered to run the Cherokee Road Runners’ Louisville Lovin the Hills trail run, 15 miles (the big run is actually a 50K) of single track with rocks, roots, and runoff in local Jefferson Memorial Forest.

About a week ago, we joined some friends at a neighborhood tavern, and I found myself rattling on about another neighborhood tavern just down the street. “What’s cool about Gerstle’s is that they have a cooler full of bottled imports, but they still have Bud Light on draft.”
